The Winter of 1995 was to be the last for Ken. Not everyone was camping at
Ken's, in fact there was only myself & a few others who were mad enough
to brave the freezing cold weather. Our visits & Ken's other friends,
notably Chris the policeman ensured Ken had enough firewood & coal to
keep him warm.
During late '95 the UK National Lottery started. Ken would always have a go hoping he could win the big 10 million pounds. If he'd one, he'd always talk about starting up a country club in Coldharbour for us all to use instead of his camp site. |

Ken never did win the big one & I believe he wouldn't of wanted to win. Ken was simple. He enjoyed living in the woods, he didn't want to live in a nice warm council flat. As Ken's health got worse we would suggest that he needed to move into care but he wouldn't have it. Ken wanted to live out his days in his forest which he did.
Ken died of a heart attack near his cabin on 31st January 1995.
