Another big hassle !! Again I've read a few FAQ's on this and basically your standard Arcade monitor will not take the VGA output from your PC's graphics card.  I've heard that these monitors will take RGB signal but the sync rate is not 100% spot on.

Rear End !!!  So our original Zaxxon monitor (which I believe was shagged anyway) is no good.  Large PC monitors are fairly expensive (secondhand 21" easily £200 +++++) so I looked at getting a regular TV as I know there are cheapish video cards with TV out.  I tried a £30 Composite video out card on my TV and while pleased with the results of the display for Windows as soon as I dropped in the M.A.M.E. madness the display went a little pear shaped !!

13-9-98 - Hot News !!  I just got 2 old Dell 21" monitors from work, as I hoped the display is just incredible - you cannot run these emulators on a 14" monitor and get good results.

The 21" monitor looks like it's in a state, the outer case has turned a bit yellow etc. but this is not a problem as the outer case will go and the bare monitor will be mounted like my old 14".

Tthe screen is a little worn but I like that effect, playing Pheonix on a brank new small DOT pitch monitor does not look like it used to ;-) this screen gives make the emulation look very good.........
