In the sleepy little village called Brockham, once
a year we have a special event. A time for the villagers to work
together and create the world famous Brockham Bonfire - ohhhh arrrr !!! And of course it's a great excuse to party :-) The bonfire is built over several weeks and ends up being massive!! After the flame bearing procession have toured the village they end up round the bonfire and throw their flaming torches and set the bonfire alight !!! Once Mr. Fawkes has been burnt, it's firework time (wow !) afterwards there's the roasting of the two tailed pig, which will be cut up and auctioned off on the green - you can get a nice bit of 'porkin' for a fiver ! |
